The engagement was amazing and perfect!!  A few weeks before Garrett told me he wanted to go up to the Texas A&M campus to take some pictures to do something for school.  Since that is my school, he asked me to give him a tour.  I was super excited because I used to give tours of campus back in the good ole days!!  I told him I had a surprise for him because I knew about a very romantic place on campus.  On Thursday August 7 we woke up and drove to College Station.  We got to campus pretty early and I took him straight to the Century Tree.  Everyone knows A&M is big on tradition.  The tradition is if two lovers walk underneath the tree’s massive branches together, it is a sign they will eventually marry.  Little did I know he had a surprise for me.   As we started to walk under the tree I started to tell Garrett about what the tree meant.  When we got halfway under the tree he stopped and hugged me really tight.  He said “Well I heard if two people get engaged under the tree their marriage will last forever.”  I laughed him off and said “I’m not proposing”.  And as he went down to one knee he said “No, but I am.  Will you marry me?”   I couldn’t believe it!!  The ring was beautiful and everything was perfect.  It was a moment I will never forget.
